Numerous cell culture and animal studies showed anti-tumor effects of cannabinoids in various cancer types.

Anti-tumor effects of cannabinoids
Studies suggest that cannabinoids may work by inducing cancer cell cycle arrest by promoting apoptosis (cell death) while helping our bodies build up reserves of our endogenous (natural) cannabinoid production of Anandamide.

Other studies are showing that CBD also preferentially inhibits the survival of breast cancer cells by inducing apoptosis and autophagy.
Research is definitely showing that CBD (cannabinoids) are a promising therapeutic with great potential for treating a variety of diseases including Cancer. Although cannabinoids have been able to effectively modulate tumor growth in various in vitro and in vivo cancer models, it all depends on the type of cancer and dosage.
